Help Index :: Classes :: Soul Warden The Soul Warden walks the narrow path between life and death, wielding the remnants of departed souls as both weapon and salvation. Through sacred combat and mastery of the reliquary, a Soul Warden gathers the lingering essence of those who fall and transforms it into a force that can preserve life, punish the undead, and strengthen the Warden in the face of suffering. Unlike traditional healers, the Soul Warden does not stand apart from battle. They enter the fray alongside their allies, striking down their enemies and harvesting the souls left behind. These souls are stored within the Warden's reliquary, where they may later be called upon to mend wounds, empower attacks, or protect those who stand beside them. The Soul Warden's strength is closely tied to sacrifice. Pain and injury do not necessarily weaken them; instead, suffering can awaken deeper reserves of power. The more desperate the battle becomes, the more fiercely a devoted Warden may fight. Their martial training makes them capable combatants, while their spiritual discipline grants them a unique form of healing and support. Against the undead, their powers become especially potent, allowing them to turn the very essence of death against those who have defied it. - Deities - Lodar, the Obsidian Star, God of Mischief and Cruelty, sees death not as an ending, but as an opportunity to claim what was never his to take. A Soul Warden of Lodar can be Evil aligned. Cynnis, the Huntress, Guardian of the Wildlands, teaches that all life belongs to the wild, and all things must one day return to it. Soul Wardens of Cynnis can be of Good alignment. |
