Help Index :: Attributes :: essence Essence is the accumulated power of your life force, or atman, in the universe of TFE. Essence can be at rest (available to use), can be channeled into characters (allocated), or can be expended permanently. Essence that is at rest is displayed on the atman command as "Essence Available". This can be used when creating or remorting a character (while within the new character menu). Essence that is allocated to characters is displayed on that character's score command as well as on the atman command. Essence may be expended permanently to unlock upgrades or features, such as new classes. Essence spent in this way is removed permanently from your atman and cannot be recovered.
