Help Index :: Magic :: swarming spells A druid's close ties to the natural world allow her to summon up enormous legions of swarming insects. These swarms last three or even four rounds, and the insects summoned will attack anyone in the area that they are able to. This includes neutral mobs, so druids must be careful where this spell is cast. There are a few other peculiarities that should be considered: only one swarm can occupy an area at a time. If you cast an additional swarm spell it will lengthen the duration of the existing swarm. An opposing druid might, with enough skill and luck, take over an existing swarm and turn it against its caster. Two spells can be linke through swarm spells - that is - they can be cast almost simultaneously so that they become active at the same time. Arachnosophy adds tiny web-spitting spiders to a swarm, while scorpiosophy adds venomous scorpions to potentially slow opponents. Current swarm spells include midge swarm, larval entreatment, chalcid salvo,cryo-infestation, and emberstorm. |
