DESCRIPTION The vanguard of a group goes before the group, even before the group leader. As the group leader walks around, the vanguard precedes them in every direction. However, in rooms where a specific action is required to progress, the vanguard will follow like a normal group member. Only a group leader can set or unset a group vanguard.
